Families Belong Together

In October 2019 CBS News did this 50-minute documentary, “The Faces of Family Separation.” It is moving, listening to children and parents from separated families tell their stories. We see their difficult, often terrifying, journey, hear their terrible backstories, and come to understand what produced this tragedy of separated families. This is a documentary taken from TV, so there are commercials, but I found it meaningful to watch the whole story.

Many of us have forgotten about these separated families in the flood of frightening news over the last six months. I watched this documentary recently and remembered them and wished there was more I could do to help. I hope you will watch and understand and remember that although some have been re-united, thousands of children are still separated from their parents (Southern Poverty Law Center).

We must remember.
